What to See
This community park features a paved path that leads to the Grand River where visitors will find a river outlook and canoe landing. Looping natural trails wind through wetlands, prairies and forests – providing good opportunities to view wildlife and migrating birds. Fun for the whole family, Roselle Park also has a wetland observation deck, silo observation deck (open during special events), silo climbing wall, natural-themed park climbing equipment, and picnic tables. In the winter, visitors can enjoy the cross-country skiing trails.
Conservation Value
Roselle Park is an important natural area in the Ada Township with over a mile of river frontage as well as restored wetlands and meadows. These natural lands help protect the water quality of the Grand River and create a “greenway” along the river that supports wildlife.
History
Roselle Park was formerly pasture land owned by Ada Beef Company. Through a community partnership initiative in 2002, the Land Conservancy worked with Ada Township and the Ada Open Space Taskforce to turn the property into a township park.
