Tree Planting Workday

Second Saturdays

From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the second Saturday of every month, we will host a volunteer event that focuses on ecological restoration activities including invasive species removal, seed collecting, and native plant installation. Volunteers may also be involved with trail maintenance, general clean-up, or other tasks that help visitors better enjoy our magnificent natural areas.

Tree Planting Workday

The Land Conservancy of West Michigan is hosting a tree planting workday on a conservation easement property in Newaygo County. Join us and help reforest an area along McDuffee Creek to support water quality and fish and wildlife habitat in the Pere Marquette River watershed! 

This project is in cooperation with Trout Unlimited and is funded through a grant through the US Forest Service and Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. Tools, water, and snacks will be provided. Please bring gloves and waders if you have them. Please register to attend!

11470 N Walnut Ave, Bitely MI 49309 is an approximate address. There is no parking lot at this location, please plan on parking along 14 Mile Rd near the bridge approximately ¾ mile east of the intersection with Walnut Ave. If you have trouble finding the meeting location, please contact Conservation Easement Stewardship Specialist Nick Sanchez at (616) 840-5840.
