Third Thursdays at The Highlands: Restoration 101 Hike

Second Saturdays

From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the second Saturday of every month, we will host a volunteer event that focuses on ecological restoration activities including invasive species removal, seed collecting, and native plant installation. Volunteers may also be involved with trail maintenance, general clean-up, or other tasks that help visitors better enjoy our magnificent natural areas.

Join Land Conservancy staff on a hike exploring the restoration projects in progress at The Highlands. We’ll visit the sites where we are restoring wetlands, native grasslands and a stream that has long been buried under the property. We will provide water and snacks. Space is limited, please register to attend!

About Third Thursdays at The Highlands

This summer and fall, the Land Conservancy of West Michigan is hosting a series of events to showcase The Highlands, a former golf course turned restored natural area, and the opportunities that exist there to learn, recreate and find restoration.
