Mushroom ID 101

October 13 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Fall is a wonderful time to look for fungi in the forest. Join us on an excursion to find and learn about mushrooms at Flower Creek Dunes Nature Preserve!

LCWM Stewardship Manager Lucas Dykstra will lead us as we look for mushrooms, learn how to identify different types, and discuss mushroom anatomy and terminology.

We will meet in the parking lot of Meinert Park (8390 Meinert Park Rd, Montague, MI) and hike .25 miles into the preserve. This outing will involve hiking up some stairs and along sandy and occasionally steep trails. The event will take place rain or shine—please dress appropriately for the weather!
