Black Friday Prairie Planting

Second Saturdays

From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the second Saturday of every month, we will host a volunteer event that focuses on ecological restoration activities including invasive species removal, seed collecting, and native plant installation. Volunteers may also be involved with trail maintenance, general clean-up, or other tasks that help visitors better enjoy our magnificent natural areas.

Black Friday Prairie Planting

November 25, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Why shop when you can plant a prairie?  Avoid the Black Friday crowds and come help us plant a new section of the ever-expanding Saul Lake Prairie–one of the longest-running and most successful prairie restoration projects in Michigan.  A great family activity!

Participants should wear appropriate clothing for outdoor work, including long pants and sturdy shoes. Appropriate for ages 6 and up.

RSVP

Contact Justin Heslinga at 616-451-9476 or by email to register.
